About Ashford University
Ashford University started in 1891 as a boarding school for girls known and was first called Mount St. Clare Academy. It is located in Clinton, Iowa. It changed into a liberal arts institution in 1918. In 2002, distance Learning programs were first offered. Ashford is now owned by a for-profit Higher Education organization.
